Liverpool—home of the Beatles and Britain's historical capital of the industrial revolution.
There's loads to see here, most of it Beatles-related, so I've provided the names, addresses and postcodes of all of the must-see basic attractions in Liverpool. Just enter the postcodes into Google maps, and you're good to go!

1. The childhood homes of each of the Fab Four.
John's house: 251 Menlove Ave, L25 7SA
Paul's house: 20 Forthlin Road, L18 9TN
George's house: 12 Arnold Grove, L15 8HP
Ringo's house: 9 Madryn Road, L8 3TT
Please remember, real people live either in these houses or nearby. Try to be quiet and respectful so as not to disturb people who live in these areas.
PROTIP! The National Trust offers tours inside Paul and John's houses. To buy tickets, go to the National Trust's website.

2. Strawberry Fields Park, Merseyside L25 6DA.
Visit the place a young John Lennon visited often as a young man. As John was an orphan, it's speculated that the reason he came to this home for young parentless children was to give them kind personal attention, as he understood their circumstances personally.
Fun fact: Why does "Strawberry Fields" say "it's nothing to get hung about"? Well, John's Aunt Mimi (who raised him) told him to stop playing at Strawberry Field, to which Lennon replied, "They can't hang you for it."
Snap a pic at the gates of Strawberry Fields, and prepare to be singing, "Strawberry Fields forever!" all day, or at least until you get to...

3. Penny Lane. Merseyside L18 1DE.
Another great photo opp in Liverpool, the Penny Lane sign is just a regular street sign, but carries the significance of a classic song.
Fun fact: everything the Beatles' sing about in the song "Penny Lane", happened in a completely different part of the city—but there is no street sign there! So people snap one here instead.
4. The Beatles' Story aka the Beatles Museum. Albert Dock, L3 4 AD.
Visit the museum that tells the full story of the Beatles!
PROTIP! Buy tickets online, or go at an off-peak time, such as during a Liverpool soccer game, or after 4:30 pm. The line to enter is insane on say, a Saturday at noon. Your ticket grants you entry for 48 hours, so if you go at night, you can always come back during the day and they let you skip the line. Buying the tickets online will also allow you to jump the line. Sucks to suck, people waiting in the queue!
5. Eleanor Rigby Statue. Stanley Street, Liverpool City Centre.

Sit with the statue for "all the lonely people".
6. Grave of Eleanor Rigby. St. Peter's Church, Woolton.
Fun fact: Paul McCartney claims he made up the woman's name in this song, yet there is a grave of a woman in Liverpool with this same name. Even more interestingly, the woman whose grave you can see here, died without any children, and locals say she has no descendents. She was "buried along with her name" (like in the song, Eleanor Rigby).

7. The Cavern Club (& statue of John Lennon). L12 6RE.
Visit the legendary spot where the Beatles played some of their first shows! There are plenty of local artists who perform here all day and night, many of which are Beatles tributes!
So there you have it! I hope you enjoyed my list of things to do in Liverpool. Did I leave anything out? Please let me know in the comments!
